Mitchell's A-Z of Fetish Artists - The Hun

I'm not sure where to start with the Hun.

The story lines of the pictures are likely to involve college boys put up for auction or ritual abuse by team mates or else young males picked up and abused by truckers or the police or thrown into the most sleazy disgusting jail you could ever imagine filled with abusive animal degenerates. The sexual exploitation that follows is highly public, painful and full of body fluids. Sometimes he rings the changes by subjecting hairy truckers to the unwelcome attentions of the police. The Artist often thoughtfully provides speech boxes outlining (in colourful Southern language) what is in store for the helpless victim and how much his tormentors intend to enjoy doing it.

His characters have big muscles, even bigger endowments and either masses of body hair – or none. The more mature hairy characters are often depicted as massive, lust filled predators (grim faced and square jawed) defiling smooth skinned young men also with muscular bodies but innocent faces (evidenced by wide eyes and small turned up noses).

The Hun's faces do not vary greatly and are not particularly pretty, interestingly there does sometimes seem to be a Germanic flavour to them with strong jaw lines and short blond hair. The picture below shows some of his more attractive faces.

The technical style is usually based on a simple outline of body shape and muscle with a minimal amount of shading to show shadow. The desire to show exaggerated muscles and organs inevitably means that the body poses are often a bit stiff and statuesque but The Hun sets out to entertain not to create works of art. The image below is a good example of his more compelling compositions.

The facial expressions and body contortions shown here imply a deep, lustful enjoyment of pure sex. It's a world in which exaggerated organs reflect the feelings and experiences of the men involved. Their pleasure transcends the spicy exploitative story lines that the Hun weaves around them.
 

The Hun's preoccupation with lustful excess in all it's bodily aspects often tends to overpower his storylines but I would highlight his 'Vietnam' series as a notable exception. In it a GI is captured and tortured but then wreaks a brutal tit-for-tat revenge on his captors. This series stands out because it is focussed on a simple but meaningful storyline which has a relevance to real historical events including much more recent ones. It lays bare the racism and brutality of war in a way that is honest but deeply uncomfortable to modern eyes, especially when viewed through the lens of eroticism.

The Hun occupies a unique niche in fetish art unashamedly focussed on uncompromising male on male domination and sleazy sex. His technique is really irrelevant except in so far as it services his story. Take him or leave him but you can't ignore him.
